Earl Kemp, 88, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Beloved husband of Vera Kemp. Dear father of Carolyn Bragg (Jim), Dianne Smale (Ken), Wendy Ridgway (Terry) and Clifford Kemp (Connie). Loving grandfather of twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Dear brother of Betty Vock-Cowell, Harold Kemp (Marg) and Shirley Zimmer (Laverne). Dear brother-in-law of Bill Cornish, Phyllis Kemp and Anne Kemp. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Leone Kemp, brothers Dalton, Gordon (Jean) and George, sisters Evelyn Pridham (Ormand), Margaret Cornish and Fay Sager (Ernie), brothers-in-law Carl Vock and Cecil Cowell and sister-in-law Audrey Bilyea (Jim).
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Knowles officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Foodgrains Bank or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com. A Masonic service will be held on Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m.
