Ruth O'Donnell, 86, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Friday, April 20, 2018.
Beloved wife of the late Norman "Sue" O'Donnell (2005). Dear mother of Jamie O'Donnell (Darlene) and Jeff O'Donnell (Patty). Loving grandmother of Amy Bromfield (Scott), Jason O'Donnell (Kim), Renee O'Donnell and Alexandra O'Donnell (Jeff). Cherished great grandmother of Parker, Isla and Harper. Dear sister of Lenore Tompkins (Ken), Wilma Meyerhofer, Isabel Heidt (Ivan), Kathleen Strathdee (Rae) and Ken Balzer (Sue). Dear sister-in-law of Mary Balzer, Peg Walkom, Verna O'Donnell and Vanda O'Donnell. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a daughter Joanne O'Donnell (1974), grandson Nikki O'Donnell (1988), brother Glen Balzer, sister Marion Soper (Don), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lewis O'Donnell, Bruce O'Donnell, Kay Norman (Cliff), Sheila Dewing (Bob), Carol Walkom (James), Bill Meyerhofer and Bill Blanchard.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Dunbar officiating. Interment in Knox Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial donations to Main St. United Church would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
