Theo Vink, 91, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Ritz Lutheran Villa on Sunday, March 19, 2017.
Beloved husband of Elizabeth Vink. Dear father of Martin Vink (Mary), Paula Sereda (Peter), Doreen Hartman (Francis), Mary Horenberg (Stephen), Joanne McPhee (Dan), Joe Vink (Nancy) and Lawrence Vink (Brenda). Loving grandfather of 37 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Drina Gremie, Johanna Schaeken, Marie Schaeken (Jacques), Jan Vink (Annie), Celia Van den Broek (Daan). Dear brother-in-law of Corrie Vink. Fondly remembered by the Veldkamp family both in Canada and Holland, Kees Goes and a number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Martinus and Theodora Vink, brothers John and Gys Vink, brother-in-law Herman Schaeken, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law in Holland and granddaughter Christina Vink.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mitchell from 10:00 a.m until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Clare Coleman - celebrant. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Memorial donations to Save a Family Plan, St. Vincent de Paul Church Building Fund or the Ritz Lutheran Villa would be appreciated and may be made at www.LockhartFuneralHome.com. Knights of Columbus prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:15 p.m.
