MILDRED RITZ
Mildred Luella Anna Ritz left the world on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, after 93 years and is with her Lord Jesus and joins her husband John, her parents Carl and Edith Rose and her siblings; Bill Rose and wife Irene, Lavina Rudolph and husband Wilfred, Eileen Trentowsky and husband Gus, Martin Rose and wife Marjorie, Gordon Rose, Ella Rose, Aldeen Spivey and first husband Walter Diegel, Carl Rose and Glen Rose and brother-in-law Jerry Butson. She will always be remembered by her sister Esther Butson and sisters-in-law Renata Rose, Dorothy Rose and Norma Rose and brother-in-law James Spivey. Mildred and John loved their seven godchildren and their many nieces and nephews.
They were blessed with their son Robert and they cherished his family, with his wife Debbie and grandsons James and wife Tanya, Jared and wife Heidi and John and partner Kayla.
Mildred may be remembered by some as the Avon lady in the east end during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. She also hosted many festival guests during that time. She enjoyed playing euchre and will be missed by her card partners for getting many lone hands and winning many games with them over the last 20 years. Living in her home on Burritt Street for over 60 years she will now rest at First Lutheran Cemetery with her husband, parents and some of her siblings.
Visitation for Mildred will be at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday, April 5 from 6-9 p.m. and at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 115 Cambria St., Stratford on Friday, April 6 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor William Ney officiating.
