Mary Higgins, 99, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
Beloved wife of the late Joe Higgins. Dear mother of Joanne Purchase (David) of Huntsville and Wayne Higgins (Barbara) of Stratford. Loving grandmother of Catherine Brown (Owen Teo), Marilyn Brown (Kim Rodgers), Nathan Brown (Cynthia Mitchell), Jodeyne Higgins (Sean Rice), Janis Higgins and Judy Higgins. Cherished great grandmother of Nicholas Teo and Signey Rice. Step-grandmother of Rob Purchase (Jennifer Massie) and Allison Purchase (Garth Dalziel). Step-great grandmother of Lucy Purchase and Ethan and Will Demaine. Dear aunt of Floyd Smith (Margaret) and Rick Smith.
Predeceased by parents Leslie and Jennie Fear and sister Mabel.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 6-9 pm. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am. with Pastor Harold Brill officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Mitchell.
