BETTY MEINEN
Betty Meinen, 83, of Mitchell passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, with her family by her side, at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
Beloved wife of the late Hendrik Meinen (2002). Dear mother of Bernie Meinen (Diana), Arthur Meinen (Janette), John Meinen (Arlene), Arnold Meinen (Ginny), Andrew Meinen (Hannita), Nelda Meinen, Henry Meinen (Lori), Allister Meinen (Fyola), Betty Ann Wikkerink (Andy), Benjamin Meinen (Holly) and Joseph Meinen. Loving grandmother of 38 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jack Pol (Carla), Lewie Pol (Nellie), Els Pol and Wendy Pol-Baergen. Dear sister-in-law of Bertha DeJong and Bertha Pol. Lovingly remembered by the Meinen family and her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Aart and Neeltje Pol, brothers Aart and Willem and granddaughter Chantel.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6:30-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Free Reformed Church, Mitchell on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Procee and Pastor Henry Meinen officiating. Interment in Bethel Munro Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church.
