KAREN MAE CHAFFE Karen Mae Chaffe, 79, of Mitchell, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Stratford General Hospital. Beloved wife of David Chaffe. Dear mother of Jeannie Fielding, Bill Chaffe (Sharon) and Mary Lou O'Keefe (Gary). Loving grandmother of Demetria Chircop, Sierra Chircop, Bronwynn Fielding, Analese Chaffe (Brett Kraemer), and Lydia Chaffe (Colten Strang). Dear sister of Lenora Machan (Murray), Earlan Osborn, Lyle Osborn (Lois), Pauline Beuermann (Don), Diana Rapien (Neil), June Osborn, Cheryl Boyd (Conny), and Jackie Hymers (Brian). Brother-in-law Brian Eickmeier, and Ron Smith (Lorraine). Sisters-in-law Patsy Campbell (Norm), and Connie Chaffe. Lovingly remembered by the Chaffe family and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Howard and Edna (Leonhardt) Osborn, great-granddaughter Wrenley Mae Kraemer, and sisters Verna Osborn, Mary Ellen Osborn, brothers-in-law Robert J. Chaffe, sister-in-law Nancy L. Smith, and partner of Jeannie Fielding Matt Whiting. She farmed with her husband for 59 happy years and enjoyed working in many local businesses in the town of Mitchell. She loved to sew, mend and quilt, and loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, April 30, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held on May 1, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Lockhart Reception Centre, with words of remembrance at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Woodland cemetery will be held at a later date. PAMELA RIEHL Pam Riehl, 78, of Mitchell, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Beloved wife of Carlton Riehl. Dear mother of Michele McKay (Grant) and Bonnie Riehl (Osvaldo Garcia Castillo). Loving grandmother of Annelise (Dan), Elena, Melany and Nathaly. Dear sister of Belinda Roth. Dear sister-in-law of Mona Doerner, Brenda Eckstein, Susan Sanderson, Linda Murray, Judy Schellenberger (Gary) and Joanne Ballantyne. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and dear friends Chuck and Connie, Marcy and Dave, Karen and Ed. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Ruth McManus, father-in-law and mother-in-law Lawrence and Ottillia Riehl, brothers-in-law Ken Roth, Laurie Riehl, Barry Ballanytyne, Bill Sanderson, Barry Eckstein, David Murray, and nephews Mike Ankenmann, Jada Fraser and James Roth. Pam loved her years as a medical secretary and being "The Lady in Charge of Everything" for the Stratford Ag Society. JACOB VISSCHER Jacob Visscher, 82, of Mitchell and formerly of Staffa passed away peacefully at St. Marys General Hospital, Kitchener on Monday, April 22, 2024. Beloved husband of Marie Visscher for 53 years. Dear father of Marjorie Tindale (Ken), Matthew Visscher (Krista), Joshua Visscher and Steven Visscher (Lindsie). Loving grandfather of Keegan, Anika (David), Ariana, Jacob, Elliana, Noah, Vianna, Malakai, Airalynn, Shea, Accalia and Abbigail. Dear brother of Albert Visscher (Theresa). Dear brother-in-law of Patricia vander Kroft. Dear uncle of Angela, Melanie and Kathleen. Predeceased by his parents Jan and Aaltje Visscher, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Isabell vander Kroft. Jacob emmigrated from The Netherlands at the age of ten. With his brother, he was a dairy farmer at Staffa for almost 40 years. He served God faithfully through his whole life. BARB MACLEAN Barb MacLean of RR2, Staffa passed away peacefully at Kingsway Lodge on Friday, April 19th, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Andy MacLean (2021). Loving mother of Terry Walkom (Steve), Rob MacLean (Karie-Sue) and Scott MacLean (Jayne). Loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Maggie Chessell. Barb served on Hibbert and West Perth Councils for a number years. She also served as Perth County Warden in 2006. She was especially proud of her Diamond Jubilee Award. Also survived by her sister-in-law Pat Willows (Meade) and her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Olive McKenzie, sister-in-law Earleen Willows, brothers-in-law Floyd (Verna) and Ron Willows.
