RON CHRISTIE

Ron Christie, 68, of RR2, Staffa passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, November 5, 2016.

Beloved husband of Rita Christie. Dear father of Natasha Christie-Holmes (Chris), Tobias Christie (Krystal) and Josh Christie. Loving grandfather of Brooke, Kaylee, Violet, Norah and Liam. Dear brother of Janice Middleton (Peter), Carolyn Whiteside (Ken) and Beth Carver (Chris). Lovingly remembered by the Bezzina family, his nieces and nephews, Marion Dearing and Mary F. Dow.

Predeceased by his parents Murray and Margaret Christie.

Ron served on the Perth Federation of Agriculture, Hibbert Municipal Council and was a director on the Stratford General Hospital Board. He enjoyed nature and was an active conservationist having planted more than 35,000 trees in his lifetime. He reserved 10 acres of property for Rita's beloved birds, especially her Bobolinks.

A private family interment will take place. Friends will be received at a public reception at the Lockhart Reception Centre, 116 Montreal St., Mitchell on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm.
